PR and Marketing Officer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute integrated PR and marketing strategies to promote products and brand initiatives.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with beauty editors, journalists, bloggers, influencers, and other media contacts to secure press coverage and editorial features.
• Plan and coordinate product launches, press events, and media activations to generate buzz and excitement around new product releases and brand initiatives.
• Create compelling press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials to effectively communicate brand messaging and key product information.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, creative, and social media, to ensure alignment and consistency across all marketing channels.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
• Track and analyze PR and marketing performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
• Stay up to date on emerging PR and marketing trends, technologies, and best practices in the beauty industry, and share insights with the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in public relations and marketing.
• Proven track record of successfully executing PR and marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness and engagement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with media contacts, influencers, and other key stakeholders.
• Creative thinker with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and PR/Marketing software/tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater, Hootsuite) is preferred.
• Passion for beauty and a strong understanding of industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
