Job Description - Production Area Manager (Test & Mechanical Assembly)

Our client is a leading high technological and complex producer of electronics and mechanical outsourcing partner, Seeking for Product Area Manager, and will be taking care of the production process, managing testing, mechanical assembly, and dealing with customers.

Prime Functions

Managing all personnel assigned to Test and Mechanical Assembly Department.

Ensuring staff effectiveness and cost improvements.

Managing Testing, Mechanical Assembly, and Service Sections according to guidelines from Prod. Manager.

Analyzing product failure and feeding back the problem to the front line.

Controlling all products yield to meet department goals.

Investigating new tools and necessary equipment for production.

Responsibilities

Strictly following the company group Code of Conduct.

Ensuring that staff has been trained and strictly following our safety rules at workplace.

Ensuring compliance with the company's management system, policies, and rules.

Ensuring that all employees are adequately trained in the use of the ERP system.

Managing Test, Mechanical assembly, and RMA Service Section.

Analyzing product failure, Identifying the Root cause of failure, and feedback to internal processes.

Controlling production KPI (First pass yield, efficiency, On-Time-Delivery (OTD), and scrap and production cost) to meet department goals.

Presenting weekly Test KPI (first pass yield, top 3 failure, corrective and preventive action) to major customers via conference call.

Investigating new tools and equipment for production to improve production capacity.

Calculating CAPEX for new production lines including capacity improvement projects.

Preparing production layout or re-layout to set up a new product.

Work with NPI, R&D team, and customers to set up and debug ICT, Flying Probe, FCT Tester, and Test programs to meet Test specifications.

Supporting Continuous Improvement activities, such as 7S, Kaizen, Lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma.

Controlling Maintenance activities for Test fixtures, Tester, and equipment in the section.

Authority

Stopping production, if this is not according to agreements or specifications or Procedures contact the top management at serious deviations.

Approving material requisition form for the Test section.

Suggesting alternative parts for service products.

Qualifications

Master's and Bachelor's in Electronics Engineering are preferred.

Experience 5 years in PCBA manufactory.

Strong leadership and team player, good attitude, logical thinking.

Good command of English and Computer skills.
