The Peninsula Istanbul will offer spectacular views of the Bosphorus Strait, the meeting point of East and West. Located in the historic Karaköy district, the hotel will feature 177 opulent guestrooms and a glamourous rooftop, forming part of the Salıpazarı Port re-development, which also features a cruise terminal, public squares, restaurants, and museums. A great opportunity to work in an exciting Signature Restaurant, The Peninsula Istanbul is looking for its Food and Beverage Host to ensure the highest standards of customer service together with Peninsula Service Principles.

Key accountabilities

 

• To perform a friendly yet discreet and unobtrusive service in greeting, seating and waiting on all guests.
• To understand and accurately follow the standard of taking reservations.
• Making sure to use the telephone etiquette and following the standards during all external and internal calls.
• To ensure consistency when creating a new guest profile. Ensure all guest information correctly entered in to TMS (Table Management System)
• To understand all food and beverage menus and operating hours of each restaurant and weekly check on restaurant information on social platforms for allocated restaurant. (Sevenrooms, Instagram etc.)
• To utilize the POS system as per policies and procedure in place to find existing guest profiles.
• To observe and maintain daily condition of all physical facilities and equipment in the restaurant, public area and make recommendations for corrections and improvement as needed.
  

General requirements

 

• Knowledge of using the restaurant reservation systems e.g. Opentable, 7Rooms.
• Good organization skills & Time management.
• Good hands-on service.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage outlet with similar standards and expectations (Hotel based or Standalone).
• Degree or Diploma in hotel management. 
• Understanding of food and beverage knowledge.
• Driven by precision and excellence.
