The Peninsula Istanbul will offer spectacular views of the Bosphorus Strait, the meeting point of East and West. Located in the historic Karaköy district, the hotel will feature 177 opulent guestrooms and a glamourous rooftop, forming part of the Salıpazarı Port re-development, which also features a cruise terminal, public squares, restaurants, and museums. A great opportunity to work in an exciting Gallada Restaurant, The Peninsula Istanbul is looking for its Runner to ensure the highest standards of customer service together with Peninsula Service Principles.

Key accountabilities

 

• Preparing the service stations pre-service according to The Peninsula Standards and related outlets’ checklist designed by the department management.
• To make sure all the service items including chinaware, glassware, silverware and others are clean, polished, damage-free and ready to use before and during service.
• Make sure hot beverage stations are ready with freshly brewed tea, coffee, fresh juices, ice sink is filled, and all areas are clean before and during the service period. Following The Peninsula standard is a must when preparing the beverages.
• To make sure all service equipment e.g., juicer, blender, smoothie maker is clean, damage free and ready to use before and during service.
• To make sure all service stations, side stations are clean, free from soiled plates, glasses etc. during the entire service period
• Ensure to clean and wipe down the tables, chairs and table-top equipment as soon as guest leaves and prepare the tables for the next guest.
• To ensure a consistency of the correct service techniques for all meal periods.

 

General requirements

 

• General food and beverage knowledge.
• Good organization skills & Time management.
• Good hands-on service. High capability of persuasion and solution-oriented thinking 
• Natural, energetic, friendly, and well-groomed
• Fluent in English language proficiency.
