Job Description - Account Executives

Are you ready to take your sales career to the next level? We are seeking exceptional Account Executives to join our team and help our existing Shopify merchants across EMEA grow and scale their revenue.

As an Account Executive, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of innovative products, including our enterprise eCommerce platform and a suite of financial services, to help merchants achieve their business goals and succeed in the competitive market.

  • Drive cross-sell revenue by engaging with existing Shopify merchants across EMEA, understanding their needs, and recommending the right solutions to help them grow.
  • Actively manage the sales process, from positioning and presenting our Shopify platform and additional products to closing deals and achieving sales targets.
  • Proactively manage your assigned book of business, prioritizing accounts and reaching out to merchants to build and foster strong relationships.
  • Collaborate with decision-makers and key influencers across multiple industries, successfully managing stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Build and maintain a book of business through outbound activities, such as cold calling, email outreach, and social media engagement, while also handling inbound leads.
  • Effectively manage the sales cycle, ensuring a seamless experience for customers from initial contact to closing deals.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and be a commerce subject-matter expert, providing valuable insights to merchants on how to 10x their business.
  • Utilize sales forecasting methodologies and key metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Demonstrate a solution-oriented mindset, creatively solving complex problems to keep sales on track.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, embracing change and adapting quickly to new situations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in SaaS/Technology sales, with a focus on upselling/cross-selling to existing customers.
  • Proven track record of overachievement in a fast-paced, high-growth sales environment.
  • Strong commerce subject-matter expertise, understanding unique business needs and guiding merchants towards success.
  • Customer-focused mindset, consistently delivering exceptional service and building long-lasting relationships.
  • Results-driven with a growth mindset, continuously seeking sales opportunities and meeting performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with sales forecasting methodologies and ability to deploy key metrics for success.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, finding creative solutions to keep sales on track.
  • Embrace change and thrive in an ever-evolving industry and company.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, adapting to different audiences.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is preferred, but not essential.
  • Based in the United Kingdom or Ireland
  • Fluent in English with native fluency in Italian, Spanish, or German.
