Job Description - Medical Content Specialist

This role sits within the Emerging Markets Medical Content Hub and is responsible for agile development of high-quality, fit for purpose content to support scientific dialogue that protects patient health, safety, and outcomes.

Global Medical’s vision is to understand the current and future needs of patients, clinicians, and healthcare systems to most effectively generate and communicate evidence that informs on the benefits, risks, and overall value of our medicines.

This regional role will ensure the medical accuracy of content and alignment with global and local guidance and regulations and that the final material is appropriate for use with the intended target audience. LOC CMD approval will be delegated to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Development

  • Act as the LOC medical signatory for promotional and non-promotional materials, ensuring scientific accuracy and legal/regulatory compliance while implementing an omnichannel strategy, ensuring scientific accuracy and legal/regulatory compliance.

Scientific & Product Expertise

  • Demonstrate expertise in multiple therapeutic areas and GSK products, including clinical studies and product market positioning.
  • Understand risk/benefit profiles and product strategies.
  • Understand clinical study results effectively.

Medical Governance

  • Develop local and regional materials in line with regional/local regulations.
  • Collaborate with Commercial to ensure compliance with GSK standards.
  • Conduct Management Monitoring activities, CAPA development and follow up.

Operational Excellence

  • Demonstrate accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Able to identify process improvement.
  • Partner with commercial to deliver omnichannel campaigns and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Effective communication

  • Build strong interpersonal relationships with stakeholders.
  • Foster effective networking and collaboration for achieving business results.

Business Skills

  • Independently handle daily tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strong partnership with cross-functional teams, including medical affairs, marketing, commercial, regulatory affairs, and digital.

People Management

  • Train and coach others in the content development process for multiple therapeutic areas.

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Registered Medical Doctor, Registered Pharmacist, Registered Nurse or equivalent life science degree
  • Proficient in both English and Mandarin language
  • Sound medical knowledge in basic sciences and expertise in disease areas, including infectious diseases, respiratory conditions, vaccine-preventable illnesses, and oncology
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Highly resilient with a demonstrated ability to adapt and learn quickly
  • Located in Mauritius
