We are seeking a “Microbiology Analyst” for the Microbiology Laboratory at Intertek Turkey’s Istanbul office.

• Graduates of university bachelor’s degree programs in Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biochemistry, or related fields
• Preferably with at least 2 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory
• Knowledgeable about international standards related to microbiological analyses
• Proficient in the preparatory stages of microbiological analyses
• Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and basic laboratory procedures
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Able to work carefully, methodically, and with a focus on results
• Possesses analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Open to learning, responsible, and a team player
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Conduct analyses in the microbiology laboratory in accordance with relevant standards, methods, and procedures
• Provide support for the preparation, seeding, incubation, evaluation, and reporting processes of analyses
• Carry out sample receipt, registration, and analysis processes in accordance with laboratory procedures
• Provide support for the daily use, inspection, and maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Maintain analysis records completely and accurately
• Work in accordance with the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 quality management system requirements and laboratory procedures
• Adhere to laboratory organization, occupational health and safety, and biosafety rules
• Provide support for method validation/verification studies and laboratory development activities as needed.
