About Our Client

• We are seeking a Senior Compound Development Engineer for our business partner, which is a foreign company that specialises in producing and marketing custom rubber compounds, offering high-performance solutions to the automotive and other sectors.

Job Description

• Act as compound specialist and developer for our organisation and partners.
• Build up group rubber compound competence function and ensure compound know-how and value proposition are developed.
• Build up scientific process, methods, and databases to record and understand material performance characteristics, parameters, develop and test recipe formulations, and determine vulcanisation parameters.
• Manage project process for compound development, certification, and industrialisation.
• Developing key relations with customers and main production partners for sealing and anti-vibration parts.
• Develop a network with raw material and polymer suppliers.
• Drive innovation and competence in performance compounds for customer applications, especially in anti-vibration or certifiable sealing applications.
• Act as a bridge between supply partners and key customers.
• Ensure customers find suitable compounds for applications and develop new compounds to meet new requirements.
• Ensure continuous improvement of compound production and quality processes.
• Develop new compound recipes and enhance the compound knowledge base of our organisation and our global partner.
• Implement sustainable recipe and compound production knowledge development within our organisation and our global partner.
• Ensure effective cooperation with key customers globally to meet their needs and expectations.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 3 years of experience with polymer chemistry Rubber compounding know-how
• Sales or technical sales support experience Experience in project management and solution
• Rubber finished product manufacturing know-how or experience (e.g. sealing or anti-vibration)
• Polymer Chemistry-organic rubber, extensive recipe knowledge
• Knowledge about anti vibration and/or sealing part production parameters
• Knowledge in elastomer application properties and behaviour
• Strong technical problem solving skills Strong communication skills
• Willingness to travel to other countries on a low frequency basis.
• English verbal communication at a good technical level is a must
