The Tübingen Regional Council has a wide range of tasks in the areas of environmental protection and nature conservation, energy transition, climate protection, mobility and transport, education, healthcare, migration, agriculture, market surveillance and many other forward-looking topics. In our Department 1 - Control, Administration and Civil Protection - we are looking to fill the position of

Computer scientist (f/m/d) in the area of IT user support / IT specialist

Pay group 10 TV-L

in Unit 11 - Organization, Information and Communication - for an indefinite period.

Your tasks:

  • Support for the specialist processes of the assigned departments (1st & 2nd level support)
  • Configuration and administration of applications in virtualized environments
  • Coordination/implementation of the software and hardware requirements of the assigned department
  • Creation and maintenance of user instructions in the work area
  • Central point of contact for all IT issues in the assigned departments
  • Validation of requirements, ordering and configuration of workstation hardware for the departments to be supported
  • Administration of the Microsoft Active Directory directory service, group policy management and mailboxes
  • Collaboration in the provision/configuration of access to the local network
  • Support with the installation of company-owned software and the use of individual specialist procedures within the assigned departments
  • Cooperation with other authorities in the state's own administrative network
  • License and contract management
  • Setting up computers and peripherals for new employees and providing the necessary training

We reserve the right to assign further or other tasks.

We assume:

  • Completed university degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in the field of computer science, administrative informatics, business informatics or another comparable field or equivalent skills and experience acquired through several years of relevant professional experience
  • In-depth experience and knowledge in the areas of Microsoft Office programs and current Windows operating systems
  • Basic knowledge of infrastructure systems (MS Server, Linux, network topology etc.) and Internet technologies, user and rights management (Active Directory), mobile access technologies (VPN)
  • Strong understanding of service, adherence to deadlines and structured, clear working methods
  • Initiative and willingness to independently familiarize yourself with new technologies
  • Flexibility and commitment
  • Willingness for training and further education

Advantageous are:

  • Professional experience in the IT sector
  • Understanding of the business processes in the administration and the resulting requirements for information technology
  • Confident handling of Active Directory Services and GPO
  • Class B driving license

Your payment:

If the personal and collective agreement requirements are met, you will be paid in pay group 10 according to the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L).
