Customer Automation Test Engineer - (Junior)

VEGA is looking for an automation test engineer that can work with customers and internal engineering teams to create test automation scripts, as well as test customer specific solution design at customer and internal company premises. This includes creating test automations scripts to trigger life cycle actions on the Cloud Orchestrator in an CI/CD environment as well as for virtual NFs that get deployed using Cloud Orchestrator. The scripting environment may be Python or Ansible or similar and may interact with CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins and other tools like Artifactory etc. This position requires skillset to manage integrations, demos and participate in daily/weekly scrum sessions with customers and internal stake holders specifically focused on the delivery of a customer project.

Desired Experience and Qualifications include some of:

• MS or BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Good command of English
• Must have in-depth knowledge of Linux, networking and cloud concepts from Openstack to Kubernetes
• Good to have experience using any Cloud Orchestration or RIFT.ware Orchestration or knowledge in ETSI OSM or other Orchestration tools and ETSI NFVO standards
• Must be able to travel as required
• Experience managing DHCP, DNS, PXE boot servers, load balancers etc; experience with bare-metal deployment tools is a plus
• Python programming is a must requirement
• Experience with Ansible, Curtin, Juju or other configuration tools is a plus
• Experience managing a Certificate Authority and deploying certificates is a plus
• Experience managing centralized storage is a plus; experience with CEPH, freenas and/or AMANDA is a plus
• Experience with Jenkins, Artifactory or other CI/DevOps tools are a plus

Duties:

• Customer Interactions – Support customer activities related to PoCs, Demos, solution design, HLD, LLD creations, automation and test harness design and development. Maintain relationship with key customer contacts for the success of a given project
• SW Integration – Integration of SW with CI/CD and automation test tool sets
• NFV/MANO Virtual Application On-boarding: Onboarding virtual applications (VNFs, CNFs) on SW using standardized ETSI methodologies via descriptors and create Python scripts for customization
• Automation test script development – Help develop automation scripts to trigger test, capture responses, status and integrate with test solutions at customer environments
• Deploying Software at customer premise and internal labs for demos and PoCs
• Development Interactions – Interact with development and QA for learning new features/functions and ability to absorb information for customer presentation
