Job Description - DevOps Service Engineer - MCCM

If you want to grow your career whilst finding the perfect balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunities to help you belong and make a real impact.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\nEnsure Vodafone Digital Services are Up \u0026 Running end-to-end with a DevOps \u0026 automation mindset, and provide DevOps operational support for the PEGA application across all environments.\n\n\u2022 Responsible \u0026 service owner for Digital App\u0026Web channels products and services \n\u2022 Responsible for Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities for PEGA, including planning, coordination, and execution of BCM strategies and exercises. \n\u2022 Responsible for all 7/24 Level 2 Operations in a proactive manner (Deployments, Monitoring, Troubleshooting, SLA/OLA Management, Service Capacity Management, Service Network Management, Technical Contract Management, Service OPEX Management, Service Incident Management, Service Problem Management, etc.) for corresponding products and services \n\u2022 To ensure the service delivery is meeting the business and operational standards \n\u2022 To ensure appropriate measurement and reporting of service performance, usage and availability is in place in order to analyse the trends to identify and prioritize improvements \n\u2022 Implementing correct measurement of capacity demands \n\u2022 Implementing DevOps tools and life cycle processes on responsible services. \n\u2022 Implementing Operational automation processes (test, deployment, alarm). \n\u2022 Working in multiple Agile Squad teams and delivering outputs per each team \n\u2022 Maintaining a close relationship with the respective departments (marketing, project office, infrastructure, solution) to be aware of any changes to or additions to the current scope of the services \n\u2022 Leading micro groups and projects\n\n## Who you are\n\n\u2022 2\u20133 years of hands on experience working with UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems, including basic administration and operational support activities. \n\u2022 Experience supporting or working with PEGA platforms (MCCM / Pega products) in an application or operations support context. \n\u2022 Practical experience with Java and .NET based applications, including application monitoring, deployment, and operational support. \n\u2022 Experience working with application servers such as Apache Tomcat, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting activities. \n\u2022 Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux shell scripting; familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL environments for operational and support purposes. \n\u2022 Hands on exposure to DevOps and Agile methodologies, with experience working in Agile teams and sprint based delivery models. \n\u2022 Experience participating in or supporting CI/CD pipeline implementations using commonly adopted DevOps tools. \n\u2022 Basic understanding of microservices architecture and related Technologies(Openshift), with exposure to containerized or distributed systems considered a plus. \n\u2022 Familiarity with NoSQL databases; experience with Cassandra is an advantage but not mandatory. \n\u2022 Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross functional and Agile teams. \n\u2022 Ability to work under tight timelines in a dynamic and fast paced environment, while maintaining attention to operational quality. \n\u2022 Good communication, interpersonal, and decision making skills, with the ability to balance technical and business priorities. \n\u2022 Comfortable working in an international, multicultural corporate environment. \n\u2022 Excellent command of English (written and spoken), enabling effective communication in a global working environment.\n\n## Not a perfect fit?\n\nWorried that you don\u2019t meet all the desired criteria exactly?
