They should be able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities across projects at varying stages of development. They should be a solution\u2011oriented, pragmatic, open\u2011minded self\u2011starter who can manage a high\u2011volume production slate and diverse creative/production partners. Above all, the candidate should be self\u2011aware, confident, trustworthy, conscientious, motivated and discerning.\n\n### \n\n## Key Responsibilities\n\nThe Director, Series, Turkey, is a key team member who will play a critical role in developing creatively excellent series, helping to build a steady programming pipeline in line with the needs of the content slate, and working with other cross\u2011functional colleagues on greenlit projects. The role involves:\n\n * Building, managing, and growing strategic external partnerships with producers, writers, and creative talents; fostering long\u2011term, trust\u2011based relationships within the creative ecosystem.\n\n * Actively searching for new ideas, including but not limited to building relationships with new writers and exploring IP opportunities, both internal (existing Netflix shows from other regions ripe for adaptation) and external (books, games, or podcasts that can be adapted into a series).\n\n * From development to launch, acting as the creative lead to deliver creatively excellent shows that bring joy to our members.\n\n * Working collaboratively with Netflix teams, including Production Management, Post Management, Product, Marketing, and PR.\n\n * Being an effective collaborator to our producing partners throughout the production and post\u2011production process.\n\n\n\n\n## What Success Looks Like\n\n * A healthy development pipeline in line with slate expectations.\n\n * Creative excellence in material, as evidenced by high\u2011impact shows.\n\n * Filmmaker joy: a well\u2011executed onboarding and hand\u2011off process for partners during the transition from Development through to Production and Post.\n\n * Improvement in knowledge sharing: better information sharing regarding creative wins and learnings within the Turkish series team, and also to/from other Content teams.\n\n\n\n\n## Experience\n\n * Demonstrable experience as a functional expert working in the media industry, ideally on scripted content as an Executive Producer or Commissioner.\n\n * A track record of leading and delivering multiple creatively excellent shows with outstanding production values.\n\n * Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders with differing creative and business priorities.\n\n * Excellent communication, briefing, and feedback skills.\n\n * In\u2011depth knowledge of the Turkish landscape, including a strong network within the creative community.\n\n * Ability to handle a fast\u2011paced environment, simultaneously assisting and/or supervising several projects in various phases of development and production (from evaluation to production through delivery).\n\n * High tolerance for change and the capacity to accomplish large amounts of work in a fast\u2011paced, ever\u2011changing environment.\n\n * Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Turkish.\n\n * Willingness to be innovative, bold, take educated risks and think outside the box.\n\n * Enthusiasm for Netflix culture: our culture is unique, and we live by our values: https://jobs.netflix.com/culture\n\n\n\n\nInclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates.
