Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting and Accounting Chief to join our team in Aydın, Çine.

As a key member of our finance department within the mining sector, you will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, managing AP/AR processes, and performing detailed cost analysis essential to our production and extraction activities.

Key Responsibilities

As Financial Reporting and Accounting Chief your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• General Accounting: Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain the general ledger in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Financial Statements: Prepare accurate Balance Sheets and Income Statements on a regular basis.
• Closing Procedures: Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all journal entries and reconciliations are completed accurately.
• AP & AR Management: Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable cycles, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Tax & Declarations: Prepare and file all necessary tax declarations (VAT, Withholding, Corporate Tax, etc.) and ensure full legal compliance.
• Cost & Production Accounting: Perform detailed Cost Accounting and analysis specific to the mining and production environment to monitor operational efficiency.
• Reporting: Provide financial reports and analysis to management to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 6 years relevant experience in a Senior Accountant role with knowledge of tax rules and processes in Turkey, preferably in manufacturing or production environment
• Strong command of General Accounting principles, Turkish Tax Laws, and Uniform Chart of Accounts.
• Experience in standard costing and manufacturing PL
• Understanding of accounting according to Turkish as well as IFRS accounting standards
• Tax billing experience- VAT, withholding as well as corporate tax returns
• Ability to build good working relationships with internal & external stakeholders
• Experience in analyzing financial data, prepare financial reports, statements and forecasts
• Pragmatic, self-motivated, results-oriented, adaptable with the ability to work to numerous pressurized deadlines
• Previous experience managing and guiding teams is an advantage
• Possess strong team spirit with the willingness to help others within the team and across the organization
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience using ERP systems (SAP 4 Hana)
• Language: Fluent in English as well as Turkish (both written and verbal) for effective communication and reporting.
• Location: Residing in or willing to relocate to Aydın / Çine.
