Job Purpose:

The Financial Reporting Senior Specialist is responsible for delivering right first-time financial reporting which is insightful, fast and supports the business to develop accurate plans in a strong controls and assurance environment, taking into consideration market specific knowledge i.e. hyperinflationary accounting, Turkish IFRS and VUK.

The role helps to deliver the Finance vision of a “world class finance function recognized by industry, the profession and our people” which underpins the Haleon vision. Strong expertise in local and global accounting principles and ensure that are applied to the financial statements. Furthermore, need to be able to accurately implement controls & compliance for audit and work closely with T&S team on statutory & tax related queries & activities

In this role you will be responsible from…

Tax Management

  • Monitoring developments and changes in Turkish Tax legislation and ensuring correct implementation;
  • Support any local government report, tax queries or any government inspections
  • Support Transfer Pricing Report Preparation process;
  • Support incentive processes (R&D, VAT, CIT etc.);
  • Ensuring that termly records are made on time and completely in book;
  • Support internal and external Audit
  • Support hyperinflationary adjustment for tax & Turkish IFRS ledger

Reporting

  • Ensure submission of all corporate reports are per corporate timelines, Financial report is per IFRS and Haleon corporate guideline
  • Work closely with BU Finance / Finance Services teams and coordinate Genpact team to ensure a smooth month end and year end closing
  • Review to ensure completeness and accuracy of the legal entity P&L and balance sheet variance are investigated and resolved

Others

  • Ensure KPIs reflect customer expectations of service, where possible adopt Global KPI metrics
  • Ensure risk management and improve internal controls 
  • Support implementation of process simplification and efficiencies
  • Support global projects, when applicable
  • Support ad-hoc financial reporting preparation for Global and / or Local requirement when needed

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields
  • Having minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting / Reporting / Finance
  • Big 4 Audit, Assurance and/or Tax experience is preferred
  • Experience in tax and accounting, have a good knowledge of Turkish taxation legislation is required
  • High sense of responsibility and ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Willing and capable to work under pressure, mature personality
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within a rapidly changing environment
  • Quick, independent learner
  • Ability to communicate effectively across the organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills
  • Process improvement skills and a customer satisfaction orientation
