Job Description

Directly reporting to the General Manager and closely working with Regional Head, as the first employee in this new organization, professional will be developing and implementing of comprehensive strategic plans for Gene Therapies with those of overseeing Public Affairs and Government Relations activities. This role will be part of the Country Leadership Team, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to navigate regulatory, market access, and commercial aspects. S/he will be accountable for:

• Developing and executing strategic plans for the introduction of Gene Therapies to the market, aligning with global and regional objectives
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, payers, and regulatory authorities, to drive awareness, acceptance, and adoption of Gene Therapies
• Leading the development of regulatory and market access strategies tailored to the Turkish market, including pricing and reimbursement negotiations, patient access programs, and advocacy initiatives for Gene Therapies
• Developing and maintaining government relationships with key stakeholders aligned with global / regional Public Affairs strategies
• Monitoring, interpreting, and influencing the policy environment, political, regulatory, and economic trends and conditions that may impact company businesses
• Developing in-depth knowledge of the regional healthcare system and healthcare policies and keeping internal stakeholders timely and well informed. Driving policy advocacy and company positioning through direct engagement and industry associations

• Launching of pipeline products according to budget and business plans. Preparing launches for upcoming products in the pipeline
• Establishing well communication with external stakeholders
• Quality and timely implementation of business and medical plans in alignment with Global brand strategies
• Executing of innovative access and commercial model
• Operational excellence

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree from reputable universities, MBA or Doctoral degree (MD/Pharm. D/PhD) preferred
• Minimum 10-12 years of relevant experience gained in Gene Therapies and/or Public Affairs (& at least 3 years in senior cross-functional role) with regional and local marketing , medical and /or market access exposure
• Out-of-pocket market experience would be an important advantage
• Solid track record of successful government affairs roles in an international company, agency, or organization
• Strong internal and external stakeholder management and influential leadership skills; able to build trust and deliver initiatives with a result-oriented, reliable, self-starter, proactive and entrepreneurial approach
• Proven ability to drive successful launches
