Job Description - Head Hostess

Taking inspiration from the culture and history of its location, each project is intended as a platform for local creatives to exhibit their talents as well as a hub for the global Scorpios community to gather. Since its opening as a beachside music venue on Mykonos in 2015, Scorpios has grown into a global lifestyle hospitality brand with expanded offerings. Scorpios is now looking to build a highly dedicated team to drive the brand to its highest potential.



Job Description



Scorpios is looking for a Head Hostess that will oversee the hosting team and will ensure exceptional guest experiences from the moment they arrive at Scorpios. The main responsibilities include managing the host/hostess team, coordinating with other departments, and resolving any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities



Team Leadership:



  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of hosts/hostesses in providing a warm and efficient welcome to guests.



Guest Reception and Seating:



  • Extend a warm welcome to guests, setting a positive tone for their Scorpios experience.

  • Efficiently manage guest seating, considering diverse preferences and needs.

  • Interact with guests to understand their preferences and needs. Offer tailored recommendations to enhance their stay, including dining options, local experiences, and activities.

  • Engage with guests in a personable manner, enhancing their overall experience.

  • Address inquiries and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit.


 


Reservations Management:



  • Oversee the effective management of reservations, optimizing seating capacity. Collaborate with the reservations team and other departments to accommodate special requests and preferences.

  • Oversee the flow of all the guests arrivals check in points



Collaboration with Departments:



  • Work closely with various departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

  • Other duties as assigned by your direct manager.


 


Guest Arrival and Orientation:



  • Assist and overlook with F&B, Hotel, Rituall check-ins, ensuring a smooth and welcoming process. Provide comprehensive property tours, highlighting amenities, services, and points of interest.


 


F&B Area Support:



  • Support F&B teams during peak times, ensuring guests receive prompt and attentive service. Address special requests or concerns to maintain high service standards.



Sales of Ritual Treatments and Bungalows:



  • Identify potential sales opportunities for Ritual treatments and hotel bungalows. Promote these offerings to guests based on their interests and needs, using persuasive communication to drive bookings and increase sales.

  • Implement thei sales culture as well among your team members.



Feedback Collection and Improvement:



  • Gather guest feedback proactively and address any issues or concerns promptly. Utilise insights to suggest improvements and support the continuous enhancement of the guest experience.


 


Cultural and Local Expertise:



  • Offer guests valuable information about local attractions, cultural activities, and events. Provide recommendations to enrich their stay beyond the hotel experience.



Requirements





    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Hosting Positions.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

    • Ability to work under pressure 

    • Excellent negotiation and sales skills, with a track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
