Job Description:

General Summary: With direct supervision from Director, ICT + Security Group or senior staff, provide design for Telecommunications, LAN, WLAN, CCTV, access control, and fire alarm for new construction and/or renovation of industrial or commercial structures in conformance to client requirements and applicable codes.

Essential Job Functions:

Possess / demonstrate the engineering knowledge and understanding to design or analyze data, telecommunication, security, and fire alarm systems for the design and installation, of data, telecommunications, security, and fire alarm systems/networks using applicable BICSI, ANSI/TIA/EIA guidelines and NFPA -72.

Prepare working drawings for construction on CAD system. Provide CAD support to more senior staff.

Communicate and work with all other disciplines to produce coordinated construction documents.

Conduct field measuring and checking at project site.

With assistance, edit project specifications.

Review project submittals (shop drawings) for conformance with contract documents; specify action required for conformance.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Employment Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or related field, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

2-3 years related experience in data, telecommunication, fire alarm and security engineering field.

Additional Skills:

• Microsoft Office, emphasis on Excel and Word, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and BIM360
