Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Management Engineering, or graduate of Logistics departments.
- Min 3-5 years’ experience in Logistics functions or industry including import/export operations; chemical industry, experience is an asset.
- 3-5 years of experience using SAP, especially within the Warehouse Management (WM) module
- Strong execution skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure to deliver quality results within standards and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail and advanced skill in designing reports and dashboards.
- Strong skills in Excel, including Macro.
- Results oriented with strong written and oral communication skills.
- 5S and Kaizen Knowledge is a plus.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Completed military service for male candidates.
- Living in or willing to relocate to Gebze, İstanbul Asian Side or İzmit.
Job Description
- Collect, select, structure, combine and interpret data on logistics elements, such as warehousing, strategic distribution/ transportation and import/export operations.
- Produce reports to monitor performance and to support decision making.
- Conduct transactional activities in SAP.
- Analyze logistics processes / integration defects and production requests / issues. Identify shortcomings and recommend alternatives.
- Conduct research and carry components for assigned projects; Define, plan, manage and co-ordinate assigned projects and ensure execution and delivery. These include Continuous Improvement (CI) projects to decrease costs and increase efficiency.
- Develop, maintain, monitor and improve Logistics KPI’s.
- Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, or minimize cost.
- Advice stakeholders on best practices and processes to ensure cross-business synergies.
- Prepare business flows diagrams on various logistic activities flows.
- Responsible for coordinating logistic service providers including Import and Export operations.
- Responsible for representing Logistics to other departments, including IT, for all Logistics system related activities, specifically, but not exclusively, SAP.
