We are looking for a Materials Lab Engineer for Metals/Corrosion(m/f/d) at our location in Izmir.

Tasks:

• First-level support for test and development engineers by applicating global technical guidlines (e.g. ISO, SAE, ASTM) based on applicable standards and customer specifications (e.g. IATF 16949, ISO 9001)
• Organization and coordination of sample preparation, planning and implementation of series and development-related material tests, characterization and assessment of metallic materials, statistical evaluations. Furthermore, carrying out corrosion tests on components (e. g. galvanically coated) according to applicable standards and support of material damage analyzes
• Support of the project teams and in-house materials experts from the development to the series phase, e.g. with complaints including the standard-compliant documentation, preparation and presentation in virtual and face-to-face meetings, in English
• Supervision of testing devices (tensile testing machine, microscopes, spectrometers, sawing/ grinding and polishing, hardness) and administration of chemicals. Management of necessary maintenance and repair measures

Profile:

• University degree in Metallurgical, Mechanical or Material Science Engineering disciplines with minimum 2- 3 year work experience preferably in automotive
• Further training in the field of electroplating, surface protection concepts and corrosion helpful and competence in handling with measurement technology for the acquisition and processing of sensor data is available
• Reliable knowledge in the field of metallic materials (aluminum, steel, cast iron) as well as material property changes are mandatory
• Communicative, team-oriented, independent, self-assured and quick on the uptake and the willingness to travel to Germany for trainings is available
• Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken) are mandatory, language skills in German desirable. No restriction for travelling abroad and no restriction for military service(We would like to ask you to provide an English version of your CV)
