Job Description - MCV Program Management Team Member


Purpose Of The Role  & Responsibilities


MCV Program Management Team Member is an energetic/ambitious development team member who works in collaboration with various people and departments to aim Ford's Program delivery on time, in budget and at expected quality while using GPDS as a reference for sub deliverables of the project. Program Management Team Member focuses on deliverable being completed on time while satisfying requirements, budget to be managed properly, product is defined correctly from PDL,ACM,WERS until CMM etc, proper staffing is allocated, all teams within the program are aligned on program assumptions, business cases are being done to improve profitability, focuses on teamwork and ‘do it right the first time’ philosophy, exhibiting leadership by all members.

They a.) maintain currently defined PM responsibilities as well as b.) directly work with other squad/chapter members either within the same squad or via squads. They maintain and develop their own expertise and knowledge to ensure they bring the latest thinking to their role, and help to assist others with that knowledge to spread it throughout the organization.


 


You will be responsible of:

• Leading/Coordaniting Change Management process to ensure all required design changes to be implemented on time with quality and within cost target.

• Leading Engineering Sign-Off process during early build phases.

• Coordination of Colour Harmony and Appearence Approval process together with Design Quality Team.

• Guide and coordinate other teams(PD, Manufacturing, STA) to align on complicated build issues.

• Leading program meetings and tracking engineering changes

• Leading all business cases, feasibility analysis

• Utilizing GPDS deliverable requirements, defining timing for all engineering, purchasing and manufacturing activities

• Being executor of engineering release activities

• Determining product definition strategy

• Working cross functional within vehicle based tribes as well as specialized area

• Developing and maintaining BOM (100% accuracy), procure all parts (complete to scheduled MRD), and support warehouse/build sites for assigned commodities

• Working with various areas on the optimised prototype strategy, prototype parts readiness, prototype build coordination

• Working with MP&L and purchasing on program sourcing optimisation and supplier technical capability control.

 


Experience


• Experienced in project planning, project executing, proven knowledge in GDPS Methodologies. Project Management experience is an asset

• An Engineering background (preferred)

• High Perception for the Trends Shaping Automotive Industry: Autonomous, Shared, Electrified, Connected

 


Education


• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,  Master of Business is preferred for engineering degrees


 


Skills & Competencies


• BS or MS Engineering degree 

• Proficient in MS Office applications; excel VBA macro knowledge – advantage

• Advance level of English

• Ability to lead the delivery of a program, coordinate and plan the workstreams

• Ability to interface with cross-functional teams, be creative,have high integrity with good attitude and strong interpersonal skills

• Good analytical thinking and problem solving skills; understanding and analysing Big Data

• Be result oriented and willing to adapt changing environment

• Ability to show proactive approach and keen to adapt agile working principles, self- learner

• Ability to show customer-oriented approach

• Quality focused, maintain and improve model quality for best results

• Ability to work with domestic and international partners and to travel

• A good and motivated team player, but also well prepared to work independently, output-oriented and ready to take self-initiative with solution-oriented nature. Open to feedback, eager to improve

• Preferably: Experience with Ford corporate databases as AIMS, WERS, BOM, Global Integrator

• Preferably: Completion of a vehicle program from MR to J1 experience

• Preferably: Driving License B
