The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and optimizing machine learning and data processing pipelines, and a deep understanding of NLP and/or recommender systems techniques and algorithms. Job Description

Responsibilities:

• assist in the development and deploy production-ready data and model pipelines on AWS
• monitor and optimize the performance of ML systems, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for scalability and efficiency improvements
• collaborate closely with data scientists to ensure the efficient and scalable integration of trained models into our products and implementation of best practices within the ML codebase
• stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of machine learning (NLP and/or Recommender systems), ensuring our techniques and tools remain cutting-edge
• effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders and team members

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus
• 3-5 years of experience in building machine learning and data processing pipelines
• previous experience building scalable and reliable NLP and/or Recommendation engine systems
• strong proficiency in Python
• hands-on experience with AWS
• experience with containerization and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes
• experience with NLP techniques and tools (such as Hugging Face, sentence-transformers, BERT, generative models, etc.) and/or Recommendation engines techniques and tools (such as matrix factorisation, Implicit KNN, LightFM, graph neural networks, etc.)
• experience with tools like Spark and Apache Airflow
• excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
