Oversees Powerplant Director - Y1014

We are looking for a “Overseas Powerplant Director” for our client. Our client is one of the leading energy companies in Turkey operating at a global scale.

Reporting to the GM, you will be tasked with developing a powerplant strategy to differentiate and grow the business through diversification and geographical expansion in line with projected market trends and ambitious business growth targets in Africa region region. This role will be based in Istanbul Anatolian side.

– To be considered for this position, you must have a broad background in powerplant operations (Energy&Heavy Fuel Oil) , including at least 10 years’ experience in a Powerplant manager role at a power plant.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategy to ensure the success of the facility, incharge of controlling all activities in Heavy Fuel Oi l power plants,
• Managing the operations of the all HFO powerplants,
• Driving operations team towards execution of Business Goals,
• Provide development of plant staff to guide production and support teams,
• Work with customers, product managers, functional leaders, and internal staff to meet production requirements,
• Lead the establishment and attainment of goals for factory in safety, compliance, lean transformation, quality, schedule and cost,
• Work with cross functional teams to establish the appropriate conditions to effectively meet long and near term product line goals,
• Establish and maintain the plant vision for success,
• Develop and track expense and investment budgets,
• Oversee strategic, technical, financial, commercial and regulatory matters for the Company,
• Ensuring sufficient capacity exists to achieve all customer commitments per the plan

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree / Post Graduate Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent,
• 10+ years’ experience in Powerpant operations including HFO,
• Knowledge of Power Plant operational, maintenance practices, and contract in general,
• Experiences on the construction, operation, and maintenance of HFO Power Plants,
• Excellent English language skills. French language will be considered as an advantage.
• Understanding customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends, & the competitive landscape in the industry/function & considering the external impact of business activities & decisions on the external environment,
• Strong leadership, people management, and team building skills,
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, teamwork & networking skills.
