Job Description

• Motivate and develop the Engineering / Technical team members, delivering clear communications
• Understand the business issues being addressed and how they relate to the project activities
• Help Regional Operations / Regional Engineering in the development of the business case to through technical input and scope development
• Support the Project Director in defining the project scope, benefits, and objectives
• Ensure that the Technical Project Plan is prepared, kept current and closely monitored and (if required) a full Testing / Commissioning Plan for the chosen solution
• Responsible for the day-to-day management and deliverable completion of the engineering aspects of the project, using agreed resources, by an agreed date to agreed safety standards and an agreed quality within an agreed budget
• Co-ordination, scheduling and reporting of activities related to technical management, technical change management and project communications as agreed with the Project Director
• Responsible for ensuring each Project Engineering Team member's full involvement during the development of the project and during its implementation; and for their performance, reviewing issues as they arise
• Accountable for maintaining a key understanding of all aspects of the engineering scope
• Responsible for the reviewing and challenging of all technical members to ensure that the overall design is being maintained in a technical efficient manner and aligned at all times to company's technical and manufacturing requirements
• Responsible for coordinating activities related to the application for and approval of statutory local authority

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum Third Level Degree in an Engineering discipline
• Minimum 10 years' Engineering experience in a multinational environment
• Must have experience managing and conducting projects in other countries
• Must have previously worked in the Food / Food Ingredients industry
• Good understanding of SPC, FMEA, six-sigma and Lean Manufacturing
• Familiar with project management tools
• Strong track record of on-time, on-budget and on-specification delivery of projects;
