In This Role, You Will
As a Project Logistics Lead at DFDS, you will drive business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities within the energy, infrastructure, industrial, and project cargo sectors. You will develop and manage customer relationships, design tailored end-to-end logistics solutions across sea, road, intermodal, and specialized transport services, and lead commercial activities including tender management, pricing, and contract negotiations to support the growth and profitability of DFDS' Project Logistics business.
Key Responsibilities
Drive new customer acquisition and business growth within the Project Logistics segment by actively developing and managing customer portfolios, identifying new business opportunities, and leading customer engagement throughout the entire sales and tender lifecycle. Identify and pursue opportunities in energy, renewable energy, construction, infrastructure, mining, and industrial projects sectors.
Develop tailored logistics solutions for heavy-lift, out-of-gauge (OOG), and project cargo transportation.
Analyze customer requirements and collaborate with operational teams to design end-to-end logistics solutions.
Manage tender and bidding processes, preparing competitive and profitable commercial proposals.
Conduct commercial negotiations with customers and manage contract discussions and agreements.
Achieve sales, revenue, profitability, and budget targets.
Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and regular reporting.
Collaborate with regional and global teams to develop and secure international project logistics opportunities.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to support growth strategies and business expansion initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in related fields
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the logistics industry, including proven experience in Project Logistics sales and business development.
Previous experience in sales, account management and logistics operations (road, sea, air, and rail freight)
Good command of English (written and verbal)
Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
Ability to coordinate with different departments and effectively manage cross-functional information flow
Problem-solving mindset and customer-centric approach.
Holder of a valid B class driver’s license, actively drives, and has no travel restrictions for field sales.
