Quality Control Specialist - Gebze

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our team. The Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for performing quality assurance assessments on products, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications. Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry / chemical engineering of a university
• At least 1-3 years of experience with quality control or quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or laboratory setting
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to the industry (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 22716, ISO 13485, CE regulations)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment to meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
• Ability to investigate, analyze and resolve issues with the ability to follow correct escalation process
• Ability to be flexible and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of analytical techniques and causative research skills
• Extremely strong relationship management abilities, analytical and problem-solving skills
• High managing skill for multiple projects and varying tasks simultaneously
• Must be able to read and follow all written and implied directions, policies and procedures
• Advanced in MS-Office applications
• No military obligation for male candidates
• Able to reside in Kocaeli and Istanbul (Asia) region prefably Pendik, Gebze, Tuzla

Responsibilities: 

• Report findings and trends to the Quality Control Manager
• Assist the QC Leader in sample testing, report writing, data entry, and sample submission to other labs and external vendors.
• Raw materials and finished goods testing.
• Performs routine and non-routine analysis of, raw materials, in-process and finished products during release or stability testing
• Assists in management of test samples, reagents and materials used in the laboratory per approved procedures.
• Following up customer complaints regarding product safety and quality regarding products, requesting corrective action from suppliers when necessary, and informing relevant departments.
• May assist in training of other lab techs as needed.
• Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures for Quality Department to meet ISO requirements (where applicable)
• Gather final product and raw materials samples and test within expected time frame and store properly.
• Follow ISO standards, GLP and GMP practices to adhere to company Quality policy.
• May interact with production, maintenance, technology, or other plant personnel to communicate test results, receive guidance, and provide feedback.
• Performs calculations and additional analyses on test results to determine if product is within proper boundaries.
• Responsible for managing laboratory documentation including the creation, issuance, and archiving of test data packets, test requests, and other QC related documentation.
• Perform lab support activities such as supplies inventory management, supplies ordering and replenishing, managing services requests for Lab equipment, kitting, glassware washing, dehydrogenation of labware, autoclaving, and lab wastes removal.
• Pick up, receive, aliquot, and distribute samples to the appropriate laboratories for testing.
• PH measurement, Other analytical qualitative and quantitative determinations
• At the direction of the QC Leader , assist with overseeing the day-to-day operation of the QC Lab while working in cooperation with the Lab Intern, and  QC to ensure Quality standards are maintained.
• Assists production and R&D with problems related to the quality of samples, process improvement.
• Understands and follows documents relevant to responsibilities, Work flows, Work Instructions, Checklists, Batch Records, and Logs
• Organize retain samples in storage areas.
• Maintenance and Calibration of lab equipment like, Titrators, viscosimeter, dansity meter Thermometers, pressure gauge .
• Checking product labels in accordance with legal regulations
• Creating supplier scorecards, following up supplier performance results.
• Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement o quality management systems
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance of warehouse operations (goods receiving, storage, shipping, etc.) with quality standards
• Performing audits and control in warehouses
