The role

Quality is a key driver of competitive advantage in the Ice Cream business. Quality Expertise, Performance & Innovation plays a crucial role in embedding a strong culture of quality within the business unit, ensuring every product delivers the best experience and delights our consumers. 

In this role, you will manage the expertise function within the business unit (BU) to ensure compliance with the Food Safety Program. You will support disruptive innovations, develop food safety procedures, and oversee supplier quality management. You will lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions (CAPA), drive continuous improvement in the supply chain, and stay updated on industry trends. Additionally, you will deploy and monitor the Quality Management System (QMS) and BU Quality OKRs, ensuring strong communication between teams to implement changes and improvements. 


What you'll be responsible for

  • Manage expertise function in the BU, ensuring compliance with the Food Safety Program. 
  • Support disruptive innovations, ensuring all new products align with high standards related to product safety and quality. 
  • Assist in developing food safety procedures for factory standards aligned with global standards and local legislation requirements. 
  • Ensure supplier quality management, including assessments and audits. Support onboarding supplier-related product safety requirements (e.g., Ready to Eat suppliers). 
  • Lead and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective & preventive action (CAPA). 
  • Capture lessons learned and feed them back internally, promoting a no-fault-forward and continuous improvement quality culture. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain, optimizing efficiency and reducing defects. 
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to implement best practices in SC and laboratories. 
  • Deploy and ensure QMS (Quality Management System) in the BU by aligning with local legal requirements and global quality policies & procedures. 
  • Deploy BU Quality OKRs and monitor ongoing progress and performance in a timely manner. 
  • Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate the exchange of information and implement changes and improvements. 


We're looking for someone who
 

Skills:

  • Strong Leadership: A proven leader who is committed, enthusiastic, and capable of mentoring and upskilling the quality team. The ability to inspire and guide teams, fostering a collaborative environment focused on quality improvement. 
  • Effective Communication and stakeholder management: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively convey quality strategies and engage stakeholders.
  • Auditing skills: a clear understanding and ability to assess and act upon product safety, quality, efficacy, and compliance risks. 
  • Proactive approach: Anticipating potential quality issues, implementing preventive measures, and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement. 
  • Analytical skills: utilize data analysis tools to monitor quality metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve overall product quality. 
  • Problem-solving abilities: Resolving quality-related issues. 
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to changing regulations, market trends, and customer & consumer preferences to ensure quality processes remain effective and efficient. 
  • Ruthless prioritization: ability to navigate between the many tasks and being able to ruthlessly prioritize those activities that are most important/urgent. 

Experiences & Qualifications:  

  • Proven experience in quality management, supplier quality management, and manufacturing process.
  • At least 10- 15 years of relevant experience as a quality/ SC leader. 
  • Experience in virtual teamwork. 
  • Strong understanding of the wide range of quality management tools and experience in using them.
