Job Description - Quality Manager

About Our Client

Our client is located in Ankara and one of the leading companies in the transformer sector establishing its brand name in the local market and its place on an international platform by exporting to more than 55 different countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

Job Description

  • Leading Quality System, Quality Control and Quality Process Supervisors and their teams
  • Planning, executing, monitoring and reporting on all tasks related to Quality Assurance, process management and improvement within the organisation
  • Creating quality improvement objectives and ensuring the effective use of relevant techniques such as statistical analysis, 8D, 5S, Kaizen, FMEA, MSA, APQP etc., conducting efforts to understand and implement processes across the company
  • Leading the initiation of corrective and preventive activities in case of reported errors during production activities or identification of non-conforming products
  • Managing the stages of reviewing products that fail testing or require technical service after delivery to customers and making necessary decisions
  • Collaborating with other relevant departments to analyse quality control reports, identify the causes of errors, find solutions, perform root-cause analysis, conduct data analyses, initiate corrective, preventive and improvement activities
  • Ensuring the preparation, implementation and reporting of the company's process and product inspection plans to the Factory Manager and relevant department managers
  • Enhancing quality awareness and facilitating the development of employees skills related to quality
  • Determining quality assurance conditions for supplied materials to ensure their quality
  • Monitoring and guiding personnel on measurement techniques and methods and ensuring their development
  • Guiding and managing change with an applied approach to becoming a successful team leader, player, influencer and business partner
  • Continuously monitoring improvement and development points
  • Advocating for continuous improvement in line with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Policy and the Environmental Management System Policy to enhance companies existing strong culture and take it to the next level

The Successful Applicant

  • Advanced proficiency in English
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Relevant professional certifications
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a similar role, at least 10 years of total experience
  • Ability to think analytically
  • Demonstrated ability to generate solutions to problems
  • Excellent managerial and leadership qualities
  • Demonstrated planning and organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills
  • Detail-oriented mindset
  • Ability to conduct data analysis and statistical evaluations with a proven track record of competency
