Job Description - Sales Manager - Trade Credit Solutions

About Our Client

Our Client is a diversified commodities and procurement group that meets the end-to-end requirements of its clients across the supply chain. Serving markets through network offices in the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Delivers specialist services across a range of integrated businesses including tailored solutions in Trade Credit.

Job Description

  • Market company's product offerings and value proposition to both new and existing clients.
  • Work under the close supervision and with the full support of management, but against strict targets based on the following metrics:
    • Number of face-to-face client visits
    • Business volume
    • Monthly P&L generated.
    • Product innovation
  • Fully understand of the needs of existing and prospective clients to effectively cater to them using company's Trade Credit capabilities.
  • Generate prospective transactions, negotiate, and agree on commercial terms with clients.
  • Coordinate transaction execution with clients, banks, and their relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within group to identify new opportunities, develop new products, and ensure timely and effective delivery of business objectives.
  • Maintain a close watch on the financial sector in Turkey and demonstrate a high degree of market price awareness to adequately price transactions.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with company policies, related legal agreements, and regulatory guidelines such as KYC and anti-money laundering.

The Successful Applicant

  • Ability to identify key personnel within client companies and cultivate mutually beneficial, profitable relationships.
  • At least 12 years of overall professional experience;
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a front line sales position within any sector;
  • Experience with construction companies and industrial conglomerates as target clients is a significant plus (for example, your previous employer produced elevators and you sold these for construction projects; or you worked for an insurance company and sold medical insurance policies to large corporates);
  • Knowledge of commercial banking, trade finance, project finance, commodity trading, transportation, and logistics is a big advantage;
  • Fluency in English is essential for internal communications; you will interact with various regional company offices in your daily activities;
  • Excellent communication skills, both external and internal, with the ability to solve problems effectively;
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, committed, and confident; also adaptable, values-driven, organized, and proactive.
