Job Description - Senior Backend Engineer

Lead backend architecture & design for our web app and data pipelines.
Build scalable APIs and services for handling large-scale video & metadata.
Design and optimize databases (SQL/NoSQL, distributed storage) for high throughput.
Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to integrate computer vision pipelines into production.
Work with blockchain developers to support token, wallet, and reward integrations.
Own DevOps (cloud infra, CI/CD, monitoring) to ensure system reliability.
Mentor junior engineers and establish engineering best practices.
Shape the technical roadmap and make key architectural decisions.

5+ years of backend engineering experience with production system ownership.
Strong expertise in Python or Node.js (bonus: both).
Deep knowledge of databases (Postgres, MongoDB, or equivalents) and experience with large-scale data management.
Familiarity with data-heavy applications (video pipelines, ML datasets, or real-time systems).
Comfortable with cloud infra (AWS/GCP), containers (Docker/K8s), and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of AI/ML workflows (model training, inference, data preprocessing).
Strong interest in crypto (tokens, smart contracts, wallets) and computer vision — willing to learn fast.
Problem-solving mindset with leadership ambition.
