We are building and maintaining a Software-as-a-Service platform that is built on a Node.js front-end and a JAVA/Spring back-end system using microservices architecture on AWS/RDS and Heroku. We constantly improve our products to offer 10x better solutions to our customers.

About the Role

Mobile Action is looking for a Senior Data Scientist who will help us ultimately turn our data into insights that will help our customers.

• Understanding the domain specific problems and designing data science solutions
• Developing and implementing machine/statistical learning models
• Writing code blocks including complex queries for summarizing data or discovering insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and propose data-driven solutions
• Communicate complex quantitative analyses in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to non-technical stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in quantitative fields (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.)
• 5+ years of applied experience as a data scientist/machine learning engineer preferably in mobile industries OR ability to prove knowledge and passion for this area.
• Ability to perform tasks with Python
• Having deep knowledge about machine learning, natural language processing, clustering, classification techniques, and algorithms
• Writing complex and efficient queries with SQL
• Having a curious mindset to find hidden value in the data
• Being detail-oriented to check data integrity and correctness
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Willingness to learn mobile app economy dynamics.

• Knowledge of the math behind the machine learning / statistical learning algorithms
• Knowledge of experimental design and hypothesis testing
• Experience of deploying models into/writing services to the production systems considering time and memory constraints
• Experience working with high-volume and high-velocity data
