Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Data Centers

At Eaton, we make what matters work, and we\u0027re dedicated to fostering a workplace where ethics, inclusion, diversity, and our people are at the forefront. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\n \nElectrical Design \u0026 Engineering \n\u2022 Lead and contribute to the design of electrical systems for mission-critical facilities, including hyperscale and enterprise data centres. \n\u2022 Develop comprehensive electrical system designs, encompassing medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) distribution, transformers, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, protection schemes, and grounding systems. \n\u2022 Support all stages of the electrical design process - concept, preliminary, and detailed design across multiple client accounts. \n\u2022 Carry out essential engineering tasks such as electrical calculations, equipment selection, and technical validation to ensure robust solutions. \n\u2022 Lead the preparation of technical proposals and creation of detailed engineering documentation. \n\u2022 Organise and conduct both internal and client-facing technical meetings to facilitate collaboration and decision-making. \n\u2022 Represent Eaton\u2019s electrical engineering capabilities in discussions with customers and engineering partners. \n\u2022 Address complex engineering challenges that require coordination across multiple regions. \n\u2022 Assist in the development of client-specific electrical reference designs and technical standards tailored to customer needs. \n\u2022 Support engineering coordination for large-scale programmes. \n\u2022 Provide technical support for complex projects and strategic initiatives. \n\u2022 Contribute to the development and maintenance of long-term technical partnerships with key strategic accounts. \nModular and Digital Engineering Integration \n\u2022 Assist with the integration of electrical design for modular and prefabricated data centre solutions. \n\u2022 Contribute to the development of repeatable electrical design solutions and reference architectures that enhance efficiency and quality. \n\u2022 Support the integration of electrical systems within Building Information Modelling (BIM)-led design workflows. \n\u2022 Collaborate closely with BIM and digital engineering teams to ensure accurate representation of electrical systems. \n\u2022 Assist in the development of standardised modular electrical platforms as appropriate. \nTechnical Governance \u0026 Quality \n\u2022 Review and validate electrical engineering deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with requirements. \n\u2022 Support engineering quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes across projects. \n\u2022 Ensure that all designs adhere to Eaton\u2019s engineering standards and specific customer requirements. \n\u2022 Assist in identifying and mitigating technical risks during project execution. \n\u2022 Participate in structured engineering design reviews to maintain high standards of quality and safety. \nProject and Site Support \n\u2022 Provide remote engineering support for projects and undertake periodic site visits as required. \n\u2022 Conduct on-site inspections to observe and verify electrical installations where necessary. \n\u2022 Support technical validation and commissioning activities during project handover and close-out phases. \n \n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required;
