THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Senior Frontend Mobile Software Engineer for our CODE (Consumer Digital Experience) Focus Area, Partner Content team in Portugal!  

CODE is an acronym for Consumer Digital Experience, which means we're in charge of the experience and services that will guide people's well-being journey. Our main goal in CODE is to make well-being universal. From knowing about Wellhub, and getting access to exclusive benefits, to using our vast partner's network, it is in the end-user experience. 

CODE teams are responsible for developing and maintaining Wellhub's App, frontend, and backend services, and Design System and work closely with product, UX, and data teams to create an excellent experience for the users of our platform.

Our mission as the Partners Content squad is to surpass subscribers' expectations when visiting new partners. We are responsible for building, updating, and maintaining all the information from our partnerships (their logo, company information, contacts, and activities, among others) to the subscribers.

YOUR IMPACT

• As a front-end mobile engineer, you will be responsible for developing highly scalable user-facing applications making sure that best practices of modern web development are followed.
• You will have plenty of opportunities to take part in architectural decisions, suggest improvements, and interact with the product team and other business stakeholders in a highly collaborative agile environment.
• As a senior developer, you are expected to deliver well without guidance, suggest architectural improvements over time, and become an expert in parts of our complex environment. You are also expected to mentor more junior engineers.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve services focusing on performance, scalability, and resilience;
• Support existing systems looking to enhance functionality, increase scale, and transform in new ways to meet our product demands;
• Participate in the development of Desktop and Mobile applications as well as BFFs and front-end services that support the team’s scope;
• Work in a collaborative and agile environment that prioritizes people over process and is laser-focused on productivity;
• Work with cutting-edge technologies and edge cases on a global scale;

Main requirements

WHO YOU ARE

• Consolidated experience in web and mobile development;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent practical experience;
• Experience with ReactJS and React Native ecosystem;
• Experience with GraphQL (Client-side and Server-side);
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and KPIs tracking;
• Experienced in implementing prototypes and in practices and concepts such as MVP, A/B testing, and feature toggles for rolling out features to production;
• Proficient in a broad range of common UX patterns;
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills;
• Experience with microservices and high-volume distributed systems;
• Communication skills to work with multidisciplinary teams located in several countries with different cultures;
• You need to be able to articulate ideas clearly when speaking to groups in English.
