Novonesis is looking for a highly skilled Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist to support the regulatory requirements of our Plant Biosolutions portfolio across the Middle East and Africa (MEA). This role focuses on securing and maintaining registrations for biological plant protection products, biostimulants and fertilizers, enabling safe and compliant market access for innovative agricultural solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced regulatory professional passionate about advancing sustainable agriculture through biosolutions.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Strategy & Execution
Define regulatory requirements for biological plant protection products, biostimulants and fertilizers.
Prepare and submit regulatory dossiers, registration applications, licenses, and permits across MEA markets.
Ensure product compliance with national regulations throughout the lifecycle, including labeling and documentation.
Government & External Engagement
Maintain regular communication with regulatory authorities, ministries, and standard-setting bodies.
Participate in industry forums and work with trade associations to support regulatory development for biological products.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Commercial, R&D, Product Safety, Quality, and Legal teams to support market entry strategies.
Provide regulatory assessments and guidance during product development and commercialization.
Respond to customer and distributor inquiries related to registrations, certifications, and compliance.
Regulatory Intelligence & Documentation
Monitor and communicate regulatory changes across MEA.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date registration data internal systems.
Ensure internal documentation and regulatory files are properly maintained and audit ready.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or Master degree in microbiology, biology, chemistry, plant pathology, agronomy, or a related scientific field.
4–6 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, preferably within agrochemicals, fertilizers, biostimulants, or biological products.
Proven experience with regulatory processes in MEA countries.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Turkish, Arabic or French is a plus.
Willingness to travel up to 20% within the region and internationally.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced experience in regulatory research, dossier preparation, and document management.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural, cross-functional environment.
High attention to detail and strong ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
