Software Quality Assurance / Test Engineer

Description

This position requires technical writing skills, an understanding of web-based technologies and ability to follow test plans to help complete quality assurance steps of Bilintek’s software for its large financial services and wealth management clients.

The candidate will have 3+ years of prior firsthand experience about the business of building software services and how to apply technology and rigor to help construct sophisticated line-of-business software applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant Engineering degree
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills
• Good command of spoken and written English language
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
• Good knowledge of working with different browsers and other related web-based technologies
• Familiarity with Software Quality Assurance processes and methodologies, including writing and execution of test plans/procedures.
• Familiarity in automated testing and scripting software (Selenium, Ranorex, Postman, Visual Studio)
• Familiarity with software Load Testing methods is a plus, but not required
• Familiarity with Microsoft .Net, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, XML and JSON is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities:

• API, Functional, Systems and GUI testing
• Learn and apply project high-level and detailed business requirements
• Draft test artifacts, including Test Plans, Business Test Scenarios and Requirements Traceability Matrices
• Perform and document software tests and report problems into issue management system
• Review test results and report findings to management, in the form of metrics.
• Interpret test data, and interface with development teams and management.
• Work with developers to resolve defects and issues.
• Ability to multi-task and take initiative
• Ability to adapt tight deadlines and changing requirements
