SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) Storage

As our Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting global customers who use Huawei Cloud services, contributing package installations, configuration files changing, helping log analyses, issue escalating, customer support and incidents response. You’ll be working closely with other SRE teams and customers.

You will have the opportunity to work on high growth cloud platforms and grow in the role and define your own path to success. You will be able to work autonomously and use your own initiative to proactively drive success for global customers. The role will involve working in close collaboration with the engineering teams. High knowledge will be gain for Huawei Cloud Services which are popular globally.

The ideal candidate has a solid background in Cloud Services, Development, Analytical Approach and strategically thinks and is comfortable working across various platforms and systems.

KeyResponsibilities

• Manage as a senior cloud engineer in the areas of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, FaaS, Cloud Integration, developer services and cloud-native technology.
• Responsible for demand analysis, solution design, POC verification, and traditional IT cloud solution design for Huawei public cloud projects through HUAWEI CLOUD services and solutions for public cloud projects.
• Responsible for the migration and online delivery of public cloud services and solutions; participate in and guarantee the delivery of major projects.
• Collaborate with team members and other R&D teams in HQ to provide support for the customers.
• Provide enablement training for cloud developers, partners and customers on how to use HUAWEI CLOUD services efficiently then provide strong support to them during their cloud journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, majoring in computer software or similar fields.
• Experience as a cloud consultant, cloud solution architect or cloud advocate in developing ICT technologies or cloud-native solutions.
• Experience with OS Unix/Linux.
• Experience with Scripting languages (Python, Bash, SED, Awk or Gawk)
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the public cloud providers (HUAWEI CLOUD, AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Experience in Systems/Storage domains, Storage controllers and features like High availability, Replication, Snapshot technologies
• Experience in cloud migration processes & tools (mysqldump, rsync, datasync, logstash, SQLServer Import & Export)
• Good understanding of Storage internals, IP Storage, Disk technologies - SSD, HDD and Cloud Storage
• Good understanding networking technologies (TCP/IP, Ethernet technologies)
• Very good command of English with strong communication skills is required to be able to communicate and clarify requirements independently and provide solutions.
• Certification as cloud practitioner solution architect by Huawei Certificated ICT, AWS, Azure or GCP
