If you want to grow your career whilst finding the perfect balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunities to help you belong and make a real impact.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\n\u2022 To manage/administer/maintain IT Storage and Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure on 24*7 basis. \n\u2022 To manage provisioning, performance, availability and capacity for Storage\u0026SAN environment \n\u2022 To provide technical expertise/consultancy to other departments/projects in Vodafone \n\u2022 To improve current processes, implement best practices and technical standards \n\u2022 To contact related parties of vendors in order to fix problems and transfer technical knowhow \n\u2022 To analyse high \u0026 low level design requirements about IaC (Infrastructure as Code) opportunities. To develop, test and implement the solution. \n\u2022 Responsible for installing, configuring, implementing and troubleshooting any issues for the Storage\u0026SAN infrastructure \n\u2022 Design, manage and support a mixed environment of Storage\u0026SAN systems (Huawei, EMC, HDS, NetApp, Pure Storage, Brocade) \n\u2022 Perform troubleshooting, incident and error handling for systems \n\u2022 Design, develop and implement the code to automate processes \n\u2022 Analyse new/upcoming technologies and to evaluate their impacts on current systems/environment \n\u2022 Assist in the identification, development and maintenance of policies and procedures that are relevant to the proper operational functions of the Storage\u0026SAN infrastructure \n\u2022 Planning and implementation of new Storage\u0026SAN platforms to provide \u201cbest fit environments\u201d for applications, utilities, DBMSs \n\u2022 Configuration and capacity management of Storage\u0026SAN infrastructure \n\u2022 Quality assurance of new and existing Storage\u0026SAN systems \n\u2022 Lifecycle management of all Storage and SAN infrastructure \n\u2022 Evaluation of tools and applications to manage/monitor Storage\u0026SAN infrastructure \n\u2022 Running analytical troubleshooting techniques on the systems/modules that malfunctioned \n\u2022 Relationship building with the business through consultancy \n\u2022 Defining and implementing continuity solutions for each platform (e.g. Storage \u0026 SAN based availability and disaster recovery solutions ) \n\u2022 Maintain operational readiness ensuring complete recovery in the event of a disaster. Attend DR tests regularly, as outlined in the company policies and procedures to ensure DR functionality. Update the policies and procedures as required. \n\u2022 Operational support of all IT Storage \u0026 SAN infrastructure on 7*24 basis to provide continuous IT services availability and issue resolution. \n\u2022 Periodic monitoring and performance tuning of the systems\n\n## Who you are\n\n\u2022 University degree from a relevant discipline, preferably from engineering \n\u2022 5+ years experience working with enterprise Storage\u0026SAN systems \n\u2022 2+ years developing Python based automation solutions. \n\u2022 Able to execute scripts in; Python, Shell, Ruby, Perl, XML and JavaScripts. \n\u2022 Knowledge of ElasticDB, SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system. \n\u2022 Experience on web service integration (JSON, SOAP, REST, XML). \n\u2022 Knowledge and experience in using Grafana and Elasticsearch for logging and monitoring. \n\u2022 Experience working in a large, enterprise environment \n\u2022 In depth knowledge on Storage and SAN concepts, technology and applications \n\u2022 High experience in SAN, NAS technologies \n\u2022 High experience in Huawei, HDS, NetApp storage systems \n\u2022 High experience in Brocade ,Cisco SAN switches \n\u2022 High experience in Business Continuity, Cloud Computing, Virtualization concepts \n\u2022 Experience with compliance standards such as Sarbanes-Oxley, ISO 27001, PCI \n\u2022 Experience in Unix systems, fiesystem structure and shell scripting \n\u2022 Huawei, EMC, HDS, NetApp certification is preferred \n\u2022 Familiarity with 24X7 operations methodologies and IT management best practices \n\u2022 Fluency in English \n\u2022 Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills \n\u2022 Good communication, documentation and reporting skills \n\u2022 Should be a good team player and should be able perform well under stress \n\u2022 Male candidates must have completed their military services\n\n## Who we are\n\nWe are a leading international Telco, serving millions of customers.
