Job Title:  Technical Support Senior Application Consultant

The job  

The Senior Application Consultant is a key member of the ERM Global Technical Support team, providing support to AVEVA ERM and AVEVA Marine customers. The role focuses on resolving incidents and support requests, and may also deliver non-standard service requests when required.

You will lead technical support activities, mentor junior engineers, and provide clear direction and customer guidance during major incidents. The team supports ERM solutions formally handed over from Service Delivery, including configuration and implementation-related issues.

You will collaborate closely with AVEVA R&D and Product Portfolio to drive issues through to resolution and deliver fixes, and partner with Service Delivery near go-live to ensure project readiness, high-quality documentation, and effective knowledge transfer. The role is based in Türkiye, with occasional travel and flexible working hours.

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Resolve support incidents in line with customer and internal KPI requirements, driving cases to a satisfactory conclusion and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Reproduce and verify defects, then liaise with Product Development through the fix cycle to deliver optimal product functionality aligned with end-user needs.
  • Maintain and expand technical expertise in your primary domain and across other AVEVA product areas to strengthen global support capability.
  • Occasionally deliver professional, high-quality service to customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders, representing Technical Support effectively.
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams in Customer Experience and the Commercial organization to support customer success and satisfaction.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, supporting skills development and consistent support practices across the team.

 

Essential requirements 

  • 7–12+ years’ experience in ERM and Marine (or similar domain) within technical software services/support, including support and implementation exposure.
  • Proven ability to produce customer-facing documentation, including technical authoring, process writing, workflow definitions, and clear written outputs.
  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive issues through to resolution.
  • Effective in dynamic, international teams, managing multiple competing priorities across countries and time zones; self-driven, structured, and able to define and execute procedures while adapting quickly to change.
  • Native Turkish and fluent English (verbal and written).
  • Strong presentation skills, commitment to continuous self-study, and willingness to travel.

 

Desired skills 

  • Working knowledge of AVEVA technologies such as CONNECT, Dabacon, and cloud solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in the engineering domain, ideally within marine engineering design or owner-operator (OO) or EPC environment.
  • Broad IT foundation, including network infrastructure and relational database concepts.
