Responsible for scripting, building, and implementing real-time graphic templates for studio productions in News, Business, and Sports. Requires advanced proficiency in Viz Artist, scripting, data integration, Transition Logic, and HTML. Experience with AR/VR production, NCRS systems, and a minimum of 5 years in a live broadcast environment is essential.
Responsibilities and Duties
Design, script, and implement advanced Vizrt templates using Viz Artist, Viz Scripting (VBA or C-like), and Transition Logic.
Translate creative briefs into modular, data-driven templates suitable for live and pre-recorded productions.
Develop templates for a variety of use cases including lower-thirds, tickers, full screens, touchscreens, and augmented reality graphics.
Ensure smooth integration of templates with Viz Engine, Viz Pilot, Pilot Edge, and automation systems like Viz Mosart.
Integrate templates with data feeds (XML, JSON, live APIs) to enable real-time updates during broadcasts.
Ensure full compatibility with newsroom control systems (NCRS) such as iNews, Octopus, and with MOS protocol.
Optimize template performance to ensure low latency, stability, and resource efficiency during live operation.
Conduct functional testing and quality assurance (QA) for newly developed or updated templates across different production environments.
Debug and fine-tune graphics to ensure seamless operator workflow and consistent visual output across platforms.
Participate in template deployment, version control, and documentation of production assets.
Provide technical support and training for operators, producers, and editorial teams to ensure efficient use of templates in control room workflows.
Collaborate with designers, developers, and engineering teams to continuously enhance the robustness and scalability of the Vizrt graphics pipeline.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Media Technology, Broadcast Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience developing Vizrt templates in live broadcast environments, preferably in news, sports, or business programming.
Experience delivering complete Vizrt graphics packages, from scripting through deployment and testing.
Advanced knowledge of Viz Artist, Viz Scripting, Transition Logic, and template-based design workflows.
Proficiency in HTML, XML, and data feed integration for live dynamic content.
Familiarity with AR/VR production workflows, Viz Engine configuration, and broadcast hardware integration.
Experience working with automation systems (e.g., Viz Mosart) and NCRS platforms like iNews and Octopus.
Solid understanding of MOS protocol and newsroom-template connectivity.
Strong debugging and performance tuning skills for live production environments.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail under time-sensitive conditions.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
Strong communication skills with both technical and creative teams.
Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn, share knowledge, and support evolving production needs.
Fluency in English is required.
Proficiency in Turkish and Arabic is advantageous.
