Job Description

The waiter is responsible for taking the guests through the experience of Scorpios. As a SCO waiter, you will be a professional who works in restaurants, bars, and other food-serving and drinking establishments; ensuring always guests have an excellent experience by providing stellar customer service. Always positive, and willing to support and help with the best outcome the peers as well as the customers.

Responsibilities:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service according to the requirements that may be raised within the shift (working hours)


• Assist guests regarding menus items in an informative and helpful way


• Ensure full knowledge of all food and beverage menus, with ability to propose/advice to the client what covers their needs


• Ensure mis-en-place is well stocked at all floor stations


• Follow correct reporting procedures if faced with issues or critical cases


• Make recommendations and answer guest’s questions, and always willing to support


• Always aspire to up-sell additional products and services according to the clients needs


• Checking identification to ensure guests meet alcohol legal age requirements


• Maintaining a clean & organized station – including pre-bussing & table maintenance 


• Performing opening, closing & side duties – setting up/breaking down the working areas, refilling condiments, cleaning ashtrays, etc. 


• Demonstrating knowledge of all table/station numbers/ which are under your role responsibilities


• Directing guests to areas & restrooms (upon request of the client)


• Creating memorable experiences to the people you are serving always having in mind of delivering the SCO culture


• Deliver checks and receive payments


• Follow company’s policies, procedures and service standards, protecting the company


• Perform any other duties as required by the direct manager 

Mandatory Requirements:

• Turkish National


• Excellent knowledge of English language


• Proven working experience as a Waiter/Waitress for minimum 2 years in 5* Hotels or High-End Restaurants


• Previous point of sale system experience


• Excellent communication and organizational skills


• Remaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere


• Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail, and a sense-of-urgency


• Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests


• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment

Additional Requirements:

• Knowledge of additional language will be considered a plus


• Any work experience outside Bodrum will be considered as a plus
