Job Description - HR Intern ( Recent graduate )

Guess is a global leader in the fashion industry, known for delivering high-quality and stylish products. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated HR Intern to support our business growth in Turkey, Greece, and Cyprus. This role will involve assisting with payroll processes, maintaining employee records, and contributing to HR operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Data Management

  • Support the tracking, auditing, and reporting of employee payroll and personnel actions
  • Assist with employee data management, including new hires, changes, additional earnings, and terminations
  • Support termination calculations (leave accruals, severance, notice, etc.)
  • Help maintain the Personnel Management System, including employee lists, payments/deductions, overtime, and leave records
  • Assist with all correspondence and processes with Social Security Institutions
  • Support bonus/commission programs, salary benchmarks, and other HR analyses
  • Process Time & Attendance data and reconcile discrepancies with payroll
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of employee payrolls
  • Provide assistance to employees regarding pay, benefits, commissions, and taxes

Administrative Support

  • Assist in preparing and updating company policies and procedures (e.g., employee handbook, guides, SOPs)
  • Support disciplinary and termination processes in line with company code of conduct
  • Help ensure compliance with local labor laws and employee relations activities
  • Assist in gathering employee feedback and analyzing organizational climate through surveys and metrics

Health & Safety

  • Coordinate with third-party suppliers regarding workplace health and safety
  • Support the implementation of safety and emergency policies
  • Assist in maintaining privacy and data protection policies

Recruitment Support

  • Assist in sourcing and attracting candidates via databases, job portals, and employee referrals
  • Collaborate with store managers to identify future hiring needs
  • Help prepare job postings and share them on appropriate platforms
  • Support CV screening, phone and group interviews, and candidate shortlisting
  • Prepare analytical and well-documented recruitment reports for management
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Positive, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude
  • Ability to handle difficult, sensitive, and confidential matters professionally
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively, while actively listening to others
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Detail-oriented while maintaining awareness of the bigger picture
