Product Gamification Intern

Lucida AI is a fast-growing AI startup building a speech-based language practice app used by millions of global users. Backed by $6.7M in funding, we move fast, ship quickly, and focus obsessively on improving engagement and retention.

We’re looking for a Product Gamification Intern who wants to build real product features — not presentations. Your mission: design gamification mechanics that improve retention, daily practice habits, and long-term learning engagement.

What You’ll Do

• Design gamification systems (streaks, rewards, challenges, levels, progression)
• Launch rapid product experiments with the core team
• Track retention metrics (D1, D7, D30), practice frequency, and engagement
• Support A/B tests and iterate quickly based on results
• Research top gamified learning apps and translate insights into experiments

Who You Are

• Interested in product, growth, behavioral psychology, or edtech
• Curious about how learning apps build daily habits
• Analytical and comfortable working in a fast-moving startup
• Eager to take ownership and see your ideas go live
