Part Time Caregiver - Pick up shifts as needed

Visiting Angels of O'Fallon/Westplex is Seeking Dependable Caregivers to Join Our Growing Team!

This is a great part-time opportunity for stay-at-home parents, retirees looking to pad their income, veterans, those entering their second career, those looking to pick up weekend shifts, full-time parents, teachers, childcare workers, or those looking to learn more about healthcare!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Hours: All shifts available including weekends-only if you're looking for extra income

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

At Home Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Provide ambulation support, bathroom assistance, hygiene care and redirections with encouragement and patience.
• Provide care for patients with advanced dementia
• Provide non-medical assistance to seniors in their homes
• Provide mobility assistance, such as walking and transfers 
• Monitor medication schedules and provide reminders 
• Monitor fluid intake and output 
• Personal care and hygiene assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation tasks  
• Monitor patients overnight, assisting with mobility challenges and transfers 

Job Requirements:

• Must be within a commutable distance of the listed area
• Must be encouraging and patient in providing advanced dementia care
• Must be 21 years or older to apply   
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required  
• Current CNA, NA, PCA, or HHA certification - a plus!
• Must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision 
• Able to pass drug screening and criminal background check 

The candidate we are seeking is both detail oriented, trust worthy, and dedicated to improving the lives of seniors and their families. This position may require travel to O'Fallon, MO and surrounding areas.
