Job Description - Accountant (Gold/ Bullion Industry)

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with expertise in bullion accounting to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial transactions and reporting for our gold and bullion operations, and will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities: - Manage and oversee the accounting operations for gold and bullion transactions, including purchase, sale, and inventory management. - Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations related to bullion trading and investments. - Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis and insights related to bullion operations and investments. - Monitor and analyze market trends and industry developments to provide strategic financial recommendations for bullion trading and investments. - Maintain and update accounting systems and records to accurately reflect bullion transactions and investments. - Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard bullion assets and minimize financial risks.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is preferred. - Proven experience in bullion accounting and financial management, preferably in the gold or precious metals industry. - In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards relevant to bullion trading and investments. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and market trends. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. - Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. - Ability to adapt to changing industry dynamics and regulatory requirements related to bullion trading and investments.
