Job Description - Country Representative

Job Specification

The position is responsible for the coordination of our clients activities in United Arab Emirates Primarily this include partner management, key customer relationships, international equipment transfers and refurbishment/maintenance coordination/support. Due to the small team the requirements will be extremely varied, and the job descriptions listed should not be considered exhaustive. Candidates should note that the small team will require extended periods of working independently and without supervision.

Commercial

  • Assist local partner to solicit sales of new or additional services, including tender preparation and support.

  • Assist local partner to identify customers, drilling campaigns and other informational sources to further penetrate local market.

  • Be the Key Account Manager for the current client base.

  • Maintain CRM system accordingly.

  • Supply and discuss pricing with customers, supplying quotations where required, assisting with larger tenders.

  • Ensure monthly Commercial administration and sales reporting is accurate and meets clients standard.

  • Support and coordinate local marketing campaigns and customer events.

  • Gather and present local market data including key customer activity, contract awards and competitor activities.

  • Provide necessary input and support for and Investment Models and business cases as required.

Operations

  • Coordinate with Operations Manager, MENA and local refurbishment providers to ensure all refurbishment and maintenance is delivered on time and meets clients quality standards.

  • Support stock takes of key stock items.

  • Ensure any stock free-issued by clients to suppliers is kept at minimum stock levels at all times.

  • Support local cost control and efficiency projects.

  • Identify areas where additional efficiencies and cost reduction can be achieved.

  • Based on customer forecasts and market demands identify equipment shortages or surpluses in the local fleet.

  • Ensure that partners are informed of incoming equipment transfers and support importation process including, but not limited to relevant shipments and paperwork.

 

Partner Management

  • Credit control in conjunction with local partners.

  • Local vendor / services financial management including the review and approval of any local procurement within DOA.

  • Ensure Compliance with clients Purchasing Policy and Process.

  • Ensure local partners are delivering monthly KPIs and reporting on time including but not limited to Refurbishment Tracker, issuing of Distribution, revenue reconciliation and stock reports.

  • Coordinate and chair monthly local partner meetings.

  • Participate and support quarterly partner review meetings alongside senior management.

General

  • Provide a point of contact and physical presence in local market on behalf of clients.

  • Contribute to the improvement of Business Processes

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a hands-on customer facing or operational role and demonstrable ability to work independently.

  • Knowledge of DNV2.7-1, 2 & 3 and ISO 10855 standards relevant to Offshore Cargo Carrying Units.

  • Excellent level of written and spoken English

  • Excellent computer skills i.e., High level of Excel and Word

  • Undergraduate degree with additional tertiary qualifications preferred.

  • Financial comprehension to enable commercial and financial management support.

‐ Exposure to work environment where safety, and stringent rules and regulations are adhered to is preferred

HSE Responsibilities

  • Be the clients HSEQ local focal point.

  • Stop work by challenging and stopping unsafe acts and behaviors or unsafe conditions.

  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures defined in Responsibilities above, and company STOP WORK system.

  • Carry out regular site visits and safety audits of partner and supplier locations.

  • Ensure partners and suppliers are providing all relevant HSE statistics including observations, near misses and safety alerts.

  • Support site Behavioral Assessments during management visits.
