Job Title: Customer Service Executive Freight Forwarding

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Customer Service Executive to join our team in the freight forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer inquiries obtaining rates from liners negotiating with carriers and making informed decisions to ensure optimal service delivery.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Inquiry Management: Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally providing accurate information on freight rates services and transit times.

2. Rate Procurement: Liaise with various liners to obtain competitive freight rates for different shipping routes and service levels.

3. Negotiation: Utilize negotiation skills to secure favorable rates and terms from carriers ensuring costeffective solutions for our customers.

4. Rate Comparison: Analyze and compare rates obtained from different carriers considering factors such as transit time reliability and additional services offered.

5. Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on the analysis of rate options customer requirements and company objectives striving to achieve optimal balance between cost and service quality.

6. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and carriers ensuring excellent communication and service delivery at all times.

7. Documentation: Assist in preparing and reviewing shipping documentation ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

8. Issue Resolution: Address any issues or concerns raised by customers or carriers promptly and effectively striving to achieve satisfactory resolutions for all parties involved.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration Logistics or related field preferred.

Proven experience in customer service freight forwarding or related industry.

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive rates and favorable terms.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Analytical mindset with the ability to compare and evaluate rate options effectively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and relevant industry software.

Ability to multitask prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.

Knowledge of international trade regulations and shipping practices is a plus
