Reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager will steer the strategic vision and overall success of the business, focusing on advancing SME financing solutions, driving platform growth, nurturing lender partnerships, managing stakeholder relations, and ensuring operational compliance

•Drive SME and lender acquisition strategies, devising and executing initiatives to attract and retain a diverse user base on the platform.

•Develop and implement strategic plans, identifying new market opportunities and driving innovation.

•Manage all aspects of corporate financial health, including capital raising, budget management, and financial planning, and ensuring long-term sustainability.

•Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including financial institutions, regulatory authorities, and data sources, to support business objectives.

•Act as the primary spokesperson for the business, enhancing the brand's visibility and reputation through public relations, media engagements, and industry events.

•Build and lead a high-performing team of employees, setting clear goals and expectations, providing regular feedback, and creating a positive and engaging work culture.

•Manage administrative functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations. 

•Oversee shared services and outsourced arrangements, ensuring service delivery aligns with expected standards and risk thresholds.

Work Experience

•At least 15 years of professional experience, with extensive leadership roles in fintech or financial services.

•Exceptional leadership skills with experience in strategic planning, team building, and creating opportunities for professional development within diverse teams.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders. 

•Robust business acumen with a history of achieving business growth and market expansion in fintech or a similar industry in the UAE.

•Strong networking skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders and build strategic relationships.

•Past experience as CEO / General Manager in a fintech startup, focusing on SME financing.

•In-depth knowledge of the SME sector and financial regulations in the UAE and MENA region.

•Ability to identify and articulate long-term strategic opportunities for integrating AI into the company platform to support future growth and innovation.

•Proficiency in Arabic (preferable), complementing experience in the MENA region.
