Job Description - House Manager - Jumeirah

Location: Jumeirah, Dubai, UAE Position Type: Full-Time, Live-Out (Shared apartment provided) Key Responsibilities

  • Household Management:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the household.
    • Ensure all household systems and appliances are functioning properly.
    • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Staff Supervision:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise household staff, including cleaners, cooks, gardeners, and drivers.
    • Create and manage staff schedules.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management:
    • Manage household budgets and expenses.
    • Maintain accurate records of expenditures.
    • Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Event Planning and Coordination:
    • Plan and coordinate social and family events.
    • Oversee guest hospitality and ensure all arrangements meet the principals' standards.
  • Property Maintenance:
    • Schedule and supervise maintenance and repair work.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address any issues.
    • Ensure the property is well-maintained and presented at all times.
  • Security and Safety:
    • Implement and monitor household security protocols.
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of the principals and household staff.
  • Personal Assistance:
    • Provide personal assistance to the principals as required.
    • Manage principals' schedules and appointments.
  • Inventory and Supplies Management:
    • Maintain inventory of household supplies and groceries.
    • Ensure timely procurement of necessary items.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a House Manager or similar role in a private household.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
  • Familiarity with property maintenance and household systems.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate events.
  • Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
