Job Description - IT Support Administrator

As an IT Support Administrator, you will work closely with all employees to ensure that they can work flawlessly without having to worry about IT issues. Reporting to the IT manager, you will work closely with other members of the team to make sure support requests are resolved within defined SLA providing level 2 support to the users.

In this role, you will:

  • Instal and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
  • Provide desktop support (Windows/Mac/Linux). Monitor and maintain systems and networks
  • Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests through the helpdesk ticket system
  • Provide technical support across the company (this may be in person or over Zoom/Google Meet)
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Bayut and dubizzle employees
  • Set up and configure new laptops and desktops
  • Ensure security patches and upgrades are applied to desktops and laptops
  • Antivirus installation on all desktops and laptops
  • Report faults and maintain logs on servers, desktops and laptops
  • Maintenance of print server and support of internal printer-related issues
  • Build and maintain an inventory log of all IT assets
  • Create purchase requisitions for IT hardware/software
  • Ensure licensing for all software purchased is recorded and maintained
  • Perform basic administrative support duties, as required, to meet specific operational objectives
Requirements
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science or a relevant field.
  • Any one of the certifications like MCSE, MCSA, RHCE , or CCNA.
  • 3+ years experience in IT support
  • Experience in active directory user provisioning and migrations.
  • Experience working with Google enterprise solutions
  • Experience providing support for Apple products including Mac, iPhone and Ipad.
  • Experience with Helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g. ZenDesk, Solarwinds, Service Desk Plus).
  • Experience in ManageEngine products such as Desktop Central, Service Desk etc.
  • Experience deploying enterprise antivirus solutions such as Sophos or SentinelOne or Crowdstrike.
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts.
  • Advanced knowledge of desktop and server operating Systems.
  • Basic understanding of Linux.
  • Troubleshooting skills in Windows/Mac/Linux(Ubuntu)
  • Demonstrated skills in configuring/managing any enterprise-level routers/firewalls like Cisco, and Fortinet.
  • PBX/VOIP configuration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Cisco Meraki administration skills.
  • Office 365 provisioning and administration skills.
  • Administer and maintain Wireless access points, VPN and company-issued mobile devices.
  • Friendly attitude, with the ability to interact with several different personalities and levels of management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
