Job Description & Summary

Youll focus on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC developing and enhancing both client and internal facing applications within PwC and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for the Firm to drive strategic business growth. Our Cloud Design & Engineering team helps build customisable cloud solutions that enhance PwCs digital capabilities. The goal of this team is to lead the development of secure technology solutions and platforms for the purpose of delivering digital products to the cloud. The team will use DevOps practices combined with the latest cloud technology while aligning to firm compliance standards.

Knowledge Areas:


  • A solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols.
  • Deep understanding of Network Fundamentals: OSI & TCP/IP models DNS DHCP TCP/UDP
IPv4/IPv6 and Core Network Components.
  • Deep understanding and handson experience with Cisco Switching Technologies.
  • Deep understanding and handson experience with Cisco Routing Technologies.
  • Deep understanding and handson experience with monitoring network diagnostic and network
analytics tools.
  • Deep understanding and handson experience with Cisco Catalyst and Meraki Enterprise Level
technologies (Meraki Stack VSS VPC SWV HSRP).
  • Handson experience with Cisco Switches and Routers recoveries and upgrades.
  • Good understanding of Cloud technologies like SDWAN FWaaS PaaS SaaS is preferred.
  • Good understanding of VPN IPSec Firewalls Radius Authentication ISE Authentication.
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki Cloud and Cisco Wireless Solution is preferred.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot complex network environments.
  • Plan and execute in depth technical activity influencing the direction of activities/plans and
providing technical insight and guidance to others.
  • Investigate and help resolve issues on customers network and IT estates using agreed
troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Manage support cases to enable fast resolution that exceeds our customers expectations.
  • Ensuring accurate recording of all cases using the Companys ticket management tool and
closing within agreed timeframes.
  • Maintaining the records and using the central document repository to ensure knowledge sharing
across the team and enable best practice.
  • Experience of using ticketing systems and use of monitoring and management tools.
  • Supporting and taking ownership of adhoc projects.
  • Coordination with regional and global technology teams in operational and projectbased tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships to understand client requirements.
  • Ability to deliver against deadlines and agreed targets.
  • Coordination with the vendors and ISPs.
  • Network Design and Cabling standards.

Main Role and Responsibilities:


Network Infrastructure Planning and Design: Develop and implement strategies for designing and
upgrading the enterprise network infrastructure to meet current and future business requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define network architecture standards and policies.
Network Operations and Maintenance: Manage daytoday network operations including monitoring
troubleshooting and resolving network issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Implement best practices for network configuration management and security.
Capacity Planning and Optimization: Assess network capacity and performance metrics to identify
bottlenecks optimize resource utilization and plan for future growth. Implement solutions to improve
network efficiency reliability and scalability.
Network Security Management: Implement and maintain robust network security measures to protect
against unauthorized access data breaches and cyber threats. Develop and enforce security policies
procedures and controls to safeguard sensitive information and infrastructure.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with network equipment vendors service
providers and other stakeholders to negotiate contracts evaluate products and ensure service delivery

meets organizational requirements. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on network
related projects and initiatives.

Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of network engineers and technicians
providing guidance support and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of
collaboration innovation and continuous learning within the network team.

Education and Skills:
  • University degree in Computer Science/Telecom or equivalent
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA Certification is must. CCNP knowledge is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Virtualization Active Directory Cloud is preferred.
  • Min 57 years of proven handson experience on Enterprise Network technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in Enterprise Data Centers is must.
  • Strong technical expertise in networking technologies and protocols including TCP/IP routing
switching Security firewalls and wireless networking.
  • Experience with network virtualization SDWAN cloud networking and emerging technologies is
a plus.
  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively

collaborate with crossfunctional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non
technical stakeholders.

  • ITIL is preferred.
