Job Summary
As a System Administrator, you will maintain, upgrade and, manage our software, hardware, and networks. Our software system is core to our work; therefore, resourcefulness and sense of urgency are necessary skills in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently..
Core Responsibilities:
Installing and configuring software, hardware, and networks.
Deployments of windows and Apple Mac OS is core to this role.
Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
Deployments of Windows 10 and Apple Mac OS is core.
Microsoft deployment server.
Managing Aiken workbench system based on Ubuntu Linux and SQL, network servers and technology tools.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL is needed.
Manage our ERP system and accounts including troubleshooting and maintenance.
Set up accounts and workstations.
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
Troubleshoot issues and outages.
Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
Provide first, second, and third line support for internal and external customers.
Data Controller for company including the preparation of Subject Access Requests relating to CCTV.
Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.
Coordinating computer network access and use.
Achieving resilience by supporting the technicians’ workshop whenever needed.
Where needed, manage a small team of technicians assembling and installing laptops for retail orders going to Europe and therefore quality control and eye for details is needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
• Experience in computer/laptop manufacturing and assembling is a MUST
• 3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience
• System administration and IT certifications are a plus
• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools.
• A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
• Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
